It's in our DNA! We are instructed by Matthew 25:34-36 to feed the hungry, provide clothing and shelter, and to visit the sick and imprisoned. We are also are empowered by Luke 4:18 to help the poor, the brokenhearted, and to practice healing and deliverance as Jesus ordained as part of his Kingdom work. 1. We launched our first Outreach ministry in August 2010; to feed the hungry in San Jose, CA. As 2010 closed out, we provided 137 meals to those that needed food.
We have a three tiered approach:
a) Street level - We provide the homeless and hungry with meal cards/coupons for a local restaurant.
b) We seek out families that need emergency food supply, to help them get through the week.
c) We have teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank to direct those families in need, to specially designed food programs.
We believe that we can help wipe out hunger in our area. If you would like to contribute or be a part of the effort, contact us.
We began our Hospital Visitation ministry in December 2010, to continue our outreach and obedience to the scripture. This ministry chooses a hospital, and visits the sick, to cheer them up and to offer prayer to them. We just started, but have begun making visits to the Kaiser Hospital. Stay tuned for more information as we increase in this ministry in 2011.
