The Seven Vision Articles for Spoken Word Church.
1. Teach the Bible so that people can hear, learn, and know the truth of the Gospel and the Kingdom.
2. Advance the Kingdom of God by performing outreach and evangelism.
3. Minister the Holy Spirit to believers and teach them to be led by him.
4. Minister the healing power of God for the deep rooted pains and hurts of people.
5. Pray for, accept, and assist the hurting, and lost, helping them to improve their life.
6. Help the poor and needy with food, shelter, clothing, and other basic needs.
7. Administer the healing power of God to the sick and demonized.
Our church will minister to the total person (spirit, soul and body).
The foundational scriptures include;
Matthew 25:35 For I was a hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Applying these scriptures, causes us to carry out the greatest calls of our ministry, to provide outreach to our members and surrounding communities. Outreach is in the heart of Jesus! For he had compassion on many.
